Time to Enjoy Driving Again
Ford Custom Nevada offers a convenient low-floor conversion, giving you 57″ of entrance headroom. Entering the vehicle is a breeze, simply press the keypad and the tailgate and ramp will lower, allowing you access to the vehicle. Once inside, the generous headroom lets you make yourself comfortable while the removable driver’s seat allows you to share the driving duties with a passenger.
Seating Options & Access
Featuring an interchangeable front seat, the Ford Custom Nevada allows you to drive from your wheelchair as well as travel as a passenger up front. Two additional ‘tip and fold’ seats increase the carrying capacity to three plus wheelchairs. GM Low Floor Conversion, which optimizes headroom, is also featured in this car for a disabled driver. Remotely operated ramps and tailgates provide easy access to the vehicle.
Family & Friends
Family and friends will enjoy the Ford Custom Nevada. It can accommodate three passengers plus the driver. You can also hand over driving duties to a passenger by placing the removable driver’s seat behind the wheel (an additional lock down is required).
What is a Drive From Wheelchair WAV?
A Drive From Wheelchair WAV (DFW) is a specially designed vehicle which enables you to drive in your wheelchair. By removing and stowing the original driver seat, space is created for your manual or powered wheelchair. Using a handy key fob, your tailgate is opened automatically which releases your low-gradient wheelchair ramp, allowing you to enter your Drive From WAV safely from the rear of the vehicle. Once inside, you’ll find superb visibility and an automatic safety system to secure your chair in place.
